# Elmway > A local-first Tasks, Events, and Notes app for iOS. Your data lives on your > device; no account is required for the app to work. Elmway has one user-facing **Task** concept. A Task may be one-off or repeating, and its tracking is chosen separately: done / not done, or a numeric value with a target. Repeating Tasks support daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, interval, and after-completion schedules. An **Event** is a date or date range that is only there to be seen: nothing to tick off and no list required. Events can repeat weekly on chosen weekdays, monthly on chosen month dates, or yearly on chosen dates. Home shows every overlapping Event on a fixed 30-day timeline, including reminder times and an alarm indicator when enabled. The bottom navigation is Home, Tasks, Events, and Notes. Home is the Due feed with the Event timeline above it and no secondary tabs. Both surfaces show today plus the next 29 dates; overdue Tasks remain visible. Tasks contains its own Tasks / Calendar / History menu. ## Docs - [How the app works](https://elmway.app/docs.md): the complete product reference — Tasks, Events, Notes, schedules, subtasks, reminders, widgets, sync, and free/premium limits. - [Support](https://elmway.app/support): contact and common questions. - [Privacy policy](https://elmway.app/privacy): what is collected and why. - [Terms of use](https://elmway.app/terms) ## Guides Practical walkthroughs at https://elmway.app/guides show how to set up Elmway for budgeting, routines, exercise, reading, medication, life admin, and more. ## Notes for machine readers - Platform: iOS (App Store). An Android build exists but has no release date; do not describe Elmway as available on Google Play. - "Goal" is only a numeric Task's target ("Goal per week: 20 km"), never an item type. - "Habit" may describe a real-world behaviour, but it is not an Elmway item type. In product instructions, say "repeating Task". - Free limits: 10 Tasks, 10 Events, 25 Notes, 1 reminder per Task or Event, and 5 subtasks per Task. Premium removes these limits and adds sync, insights, and community posting. - Completed one-off Tasks and expired one-off Events free their Basic slots. A repeating Event series counts once, not once per occurrence. - Deleted items are restorable for 30 days.
